DIHK in Brussels

Since 1958, the DIHK office in Brussels represents the interests of chambers of Commerce and Industry in Germany and abroad (IHK/AHK) and their members towards the European Union and its representatives:

  • Council of the European Union
  • European Parliament
  • Economic and Social Committee (ESC)
  • Committee of the Regions (CoR)
  • and other EU institutions
The DIHK in Brussels ….
  • … establishes contacts with the representatives of other European and national associations and organisations at European level (in particular with Brussels representatives of the Federal States in Germany and the communal autonomy)
  • puts specific topics company-related topics on the European agenda, observes and accompanies the work of European institutions representing the position of the IHK organization
  • … provides advices and information on current economical relevant procedures of the EU (f. i. legislative projects and assistance measures) to the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (both, in Germany and abroad)
  • … organizes information visits and meetings of working parties and committees of the IHKs and the German economy
  • … conducts regular seminars regarding EU policy:
    • Introduction seminars
    • Seminars regarding EU support programmes
    • Law seminars
    • Investments in other European countries
    • Law and taxes
    • … offers opportunity for working stays and practical training
