Start-up networks

In each Chamber of Industry and Commerce, start-ups can find an expert-network. In addition to that, the IHKs are cooperating with many institutions like credit institutions, development banks, job centres, tax consultants and communes.

The following networks facilitate business start-ups at the Federal state level:

  • Baden-Württemberg
    "Starter Centren" (Centers for people starting a business) – for example in Mannheim , Stuttgart und Ulm. Unfortunately, these pages are only available in German.

    KEI Kammer-Existenzgründungs-Information (Chamber Business Startup Information KEI) . Unfortunately, these pages are only available in German.

  • Bremen
    B.E.G.IN Bremer Existenzgründungsinitiative (Start-up initiative B.E.G.IN). Unfortunately, this page is only available in German.

    H.E.I. Hamburger Initiative für Existenzgründung und Innovationen (Hamburg Initiative for Business Start-ups and Innovation). Unfortunately, this page is only available in German.

  • Institut für Mittelstandsforschung in Bonn (IfM) (Institute for SME Research in Bonn)
    The IfM start-up statistics is based on the statistics of business registrations of the Federal Statistical Office, adjusted by dependent branches, locational transfer, takeovers as well as "fake” foundations and sideline foundations (as assumed by the IfM). For further information on problems regarding start-up activity statistics are can be found here: "Unternehmensgrößenstatistik 2001/2002, chapter 4.

    Provides extensive information on conditions and promotional guidelines of SME-financing. Links on business start-ups.

  • BMWi-Database (BMWi support database) of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology
    Overview of public support programs of the Federal Government, the states and the EU for the industrial economy. Unfortunately, this page is only available in German.
