The German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) ICT Committee places emphasis on key digital areas including infrastructure expansion, IT security measures, and progressive data policies impacting businesses nationwide.
The ICT Committee unites representatives of Germany’s information and communication technology industries, alongside user organisations, under the direction of experts from the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK). The goal is to address practical digital frameworks and technological progress for varied stakeholders.

During the DIHK ICT Committee’s autumn session on 12 November 2025, discussions highlighted Germany's cybersecurity stance and digital sovereignty. Parliamentary State Secretary Thomas Jarzombek shared insights into priorities of the Federal Ministry for Digitalisation, followed by updates from DIHK’s executive board by Dr. Helena Melnikov.
Focusing on strategic perspectives, Colonel Gerald Schreiber elaborated on Bundeswehr’s inclusion in cybersecurity frameworks, aligning with defense initiatives presented by DIHK representatives. The session underscored Germany’s data governance and protection mechanisms vital for economic stability.
The next DIHK ICT Committee meeting is scheduled for 21–22 April 2026 in Berlin.
