30.11.2025 - "The weak economic performance of the second quarter has continued through the autumn, indicating no economic momentum. Companies are still being slowed down by high costs, extensive reporting obligations, and lengthy procedures. Location factors in Germany remain a significant obstacle to international competitiveness. These are poor conditions to succeed in a tougher global economic environment.
Politics must act urgently now and improve the framework conditions for entrepreneurial action. Announced reforms must be followed by concrete actions that bring tangible relief to the entire economy: reducing costs and increasing the pace of reforms. Companies need lower energy and labor costs as well as an earlier reduction of Germany's comparatively high taxes. It is crucial that the Federal Government promptly and consistently implements its reform agenda. Only then will trust in Germany as a location be restored, along with perspectives for sustainable growth."
