14 October 2025. - "The ambitious goals of the National Circular Economy Strategy (NKWS) can only be achieved through collaboration between politics and business. A recent IHK survey clearly highlights what companies consider vital for this: The first requirement is comprehensive expansion of digital infrastructure. The second is a harmonized legal framework across Europe. Thirdly, a functional market for recycled products is crucial. Today's key points provide important impulses in these areas, particularly for enhancing the digitalization of circular economy. According to an IHK survey, many companies perceive the Digital Product Passport (DPP) as an opportunity — if the digital infrastructure is sufficient and implementation is bureaucracy-free. Importantly, the rollout of the DPP must be accompanied by efficiency gains in procurement and administrative processes. Specifically, reporting obligations must be standardized, and duplicate reports should be eliminated."
