European Parliament of Enterprises: The Voice of Business in the EU

At the European Parliament of Enterprises (EPdU), entrepreneurs from across Europe take the seats of Members of the European Parliament in the plenary chamber in Brussels for one day to discuss and vote on economic policy topics; the DIHK coordinates the German entrepreneurs' delegation.

The EPdU is the largest event of its kind at the EU level. It is usually organized biennially by Eurochambres, the umbrella association of the European Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The format offers entrepreneurs from all over Europe the opportunity to vote on economic policy issues in the presence of high-ranking representatives of EU institutions. It aims to give businesses' concerns a tangible platform.

At the same time, participants gain insight into the complexity of decision-making processes at the EU level, which often have a major impact on business practices.

The procedure: The EPdU simulates a regular plenary session of the European Parliament in the plenary chamber in Brussels – with entrepreneurs instead of Members of the European Parliament. The number of participants from each EU country corresponds to the number of Members of the European Parliament from that country. Since Eurochambres also has member chambers in non-EU countries, entrepreneurs from these countries also participate.
At the last edition of the EPdU on November 4, 2025, more than 700 business representatives from all over Europe took part.
