At the end of vocational training, trainees must demonstrate their professional action competence. For this purpose, the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHKs) conduct exams.
Exams must:
- be objective,
- be understandable and clear,
- avoid one-sided focus and subtleties,
- test professional action competence,
- provide reliable results,
- actually test what they are meant to test in terms of content,
- differentiate between high performers and low performers, and
- be economical to conduct.
