Service GmbH Projects

It creates tangible benefits for the economy and society and brings good ideas to life by connecting makers and problem-solvers, linking actors, and turning solutions into impactful projects.

In collaboration with partners from politics, business, and society, DIHK Service GmbH develops and implements projects – for example, for securing skilled labor and locations, vocational training and further education, as well as for energy and environmental topics.

The DIHK Service GmbH works in partnership with the entire IHK organization and with actors from politics, business, and society.

We bring people and ideas together, develop new perspectives together, and implement innovative ideas.

The focus is on projects promoting:

• Germany as a business and economic location,

• vocational education at home and abroad,

• German businesses abroad (particularly through the AHK network),

• the future viability of small and medium-sized enterprises, such as in the areas of competitiveness, securing skilled labor, and digitization.

As the operational unit of the IHK organization, we are well aware of the needs of the chambers, companies, and partner institutions. For this purpose, we collaborate with federal ministries, national and international partners, and the worldwide network of foreign chambers of commerce. Together, we develop and implement projects that sustainably strengthen companies and provide societal added value.

Immigration and Integration

We advise and support companies in the immigration of employees from abroad – from recruitment through matching to long-term integration into the company.

Education and Training

We make vocational qualification and requalification accessible at home and abroad and enhance them, for example, by 'exporting' the successful model of dual training.

Securing Locations

We consider company-owned housing as a location factor for companies and employees and support the industrial middle class on its way to the digital data economy.

Innovation/Energy/Resilience

We show ways in which companies can use energy and resources efficiently and contribute to climate neutrality and biodiversity.

Project Examples

• Global vocational education projects: Establishing professional standards, qualification centers, and practical training structures in cooperation with AHKs worldwide.

• Skilled labor: Corporate networks for skilled labor immigration and integration into the labor market, recruitment projects with AHKs and IHKs, advising immigration candidates abroad.

• SMEs: Projects for digitizing business processes, energy efficiency, circular economy, and sustainable transformation in medium-sized companies.

These examples illustrate the breadth and impact of our work for companies, IHKs, AHKs, and political partners.

The goal: to create tangible added value for our organization and the German economy, especially for SMEs.
