From high-tech corporations to retailers: According to the latest DIHK Digitalisation Survey, by the end of 2025, a good third of companies in Germany had either implemented or planned the use of AI – and the trend is strongly rising. Artificial intelligence is reshaping business models, production processes, and services at an astonishing pace. Optimised processes and new offerings promise immense opportunities – but they also come with challenges. These include complex regulation, substantial investment requirements, high energy costs, and shortages of skilled workers, data availability, and computing capacity.
