IHK Education Award

The IHK Education Award recognizes companies every two years that set standards in training and further education with innovative solutions. It highlights how dedicated companies promote skilled workers and secure the future.

Through the IHK Education Award, the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) acknowledges outstanding examples of modern corporate qualification. The competition demonstrates how companies throughout Germany are taking new approaches to attract, develop, and retain skilled workers over the long term – inspiring other businesses with practical approaches.

Goal & Significance

The IHK Education Award is aimed at companies that are exceptionally committed to corporate training and further education. It expresses how important well-qualified skilled workers are for the competitiveness and future viability of the economy.

Through the award, "Good-Practice" examples are made visible so that other companies can learn from them and develop their own approaches.

Process & Selection Procedure

Companies based in Germany that are members of an IHK (German Chamber of Commerce and Industry) can participate.

Selection Procedure

  1. Online application via a structured questionnaire.
  2. Submission of additional materials to illustrate commitment.
  3. Independent jury selects finalists; these present themselves at a gala.
  4. The award ceremony takes place on the event day – with various categories and possibly a special prize.
