SAFRI – Sub-Saharan Africa Initiative of German Business

SAFRI promotes sustainable and partnership-based economic relations between Germany and the countries south of the Sahara.

It offers a platform for exchange and cooperation between German and African businesses and supports engagements in trade, investments, and training.

LAI – Latin America Initiative of German Business

LAI Lateinamerika Initiative

LAI pools the interests of German businesses regarding Latin America and the Caribbean and represents them to governments and political bodies. 

It also regularly organises business conferences and meetings with decision-makers from politics and business to strengthen trade and investment relations.

NMI – North Africa Middle East Initiative of German Business

 




NMI focuses on the MENA region (North Africa and the Near/Middle East) and promotes the expansion of bilateral economic relations between Germany and these countries.

It represents the economic and political interests of German businesses and serves as a contact point for foreign trade and economic policy questions concerning the region.

APA – Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business

APA acts as the voice of the “Asia business” in Germany and towards partner countries in the Asia-Pacific region. 

It pools economic and foreign trade policy concerns, promotes market and investment access, and organises events such as the biennial Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business with representatives from business and politics in Germany and Asia.

Eastern Committee of German Business (OstA)

The Eastern Committee is the oldest and largest regional initiative of German business and promotes economic relations with over 29 countries in Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe, as well as the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

With over 300 member companies and associations, it represents broad economic engagement and strengthens German trade and investment interests in these regions.
