Senior Advisory Council of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Council of Elders of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry mediates in disputes between DIHK, chambers of commerce, and their bodies – an independent panel with voluntary expertise.

The Council of Elders of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the central arbitration panel for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry organisation. It steps in when there are communication or decision-making conflicts between the DIHK, a chamber of commerce or their bodies – and all parties agree to mediation. In such cases, it enables a neutral solution by drawing on its extensive experience and fostering constructive resolutions.

The Council of Elders of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry acts when a chamber of commerce or one of its bodies, or the DIHK or one of its bodies contacts it, and all parties agree. It can assign one or more persons from its ranks to mediate. Its members are only liable for gross negligence and intent.
