Our aim is to provide you with the content of our website as barrier-free as possible. This includes offering PDF documents linked under dihk.de in an accessible version progressively.

This Accessibility Statement (dated: 21 January 2022) pursuant to EU Directive 2016/2102 and corresponding national regulations applies to the website currently accessible on the internet at www.dihk.de of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

We are in a transition phase and therefore not all files are currently available in an accessible format. We are committed to continuously improving the barrier-free accessibility of the website www.dihk.de. It currently exhibits some deficits regarding accessibility:

  • Older PDF documents on the site are not yet accessible.
  • Not all infographics have descriptive alternative texts.
  • Animated graphics are not accessible.
  • Some videos lack audio descriptions or full-text alternatives.
  • Some pages contain minor syntax errors.
  • Some document titles are not self-explanatory.

Order accessible PDFs:

If you need a specific PDF document in an accessible version, simply send an informal email to info@dihk.de.

Please mention the title of the file and the page where it is linked. The easiest way for us is if you include the direct link to the PDF document in your email (you can determine this by right-clicking with your mouse). We will then send you the accessible version of the file.

Report barriers:

If you notice existing barriers regarding our website or require information about content that is not yet accessible, please email us at info@dihk.de

Conciliation procedure:

If you do not receive a response or are dissatisfied with the response entirely or partially, you can contact the conciliation body under the Federal Equality Act. The conciliation body will examine your case and attempt to provide a solution within a conciliation procedure.

You can reach the conciliation body at the following address:
