Companies face numerous regulatory requirements when addressing climate protection. Simultaneously, topics such as resource efficiency and circular economy are reshaping the business environment, creating new opportunities for more efficient processes, reduced costs, and greater resilience against uncertain supply chains.
The newly redesigned Climate Protection Network (UNK) platform, available at www.klima-plattform.de, connects companies nationwide, enabling them to share knowledge, experiences, and solutions directly. Combining digital tools with an active network, it becomes a hub for corporate exchange on energy and resource efficiency.
A "Social Network" for Companies
"Companies are increasingly operating under economic and regulatory pressure regarding energy and resource efficiency and circular economy," says UNK project leader Dominik Horn. At the same time, significant potential exists for cost reduction and resilience enhancement. "That's why we are further developing our platform into a place where companies can connect with ease, learn from each other, and discuss concrete solutions. It is a social network for exchange around company climate protection."
Digital Tools and Tangible Benefits
The platform integrates several offerings:
- Discussion formats and topical areas for direct dialogue between companies and individuals,
- Examples showcasing practical approaches to corporate climate protection,
- Further professional exchange on offerings like webinars, events, and the Energy and Resource Scouts qualification format,
- Established tools like the ecocockpit for greenhouse gas balancing as well as
- The KlimaGuide as a growing pool of experiences with measures and practical aids for implementation.
Companies are thus provided not only with information but also practical support for implementation within their own operations.
New Focus Areas: Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy
The relaunch also expands substantive focus areas, particularly emphasizing resource efficiency and circular economy.
This addresses key challenges for SMEs: increasing material costs, supply chain uncertainties, and new regulatory requirements. The goal is to support companies not only in dealing with these developments but also in actively leveraging them for more competitiveness and resilience.
Lower Barriers to Entry
Membership in the Climate Protection Network is free and open to companies of all sizes and industries. The aim is to make the entry into energy and resource efficiency and circular economy as accessible as possible. The platform is particularly targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises seeking guidance, looking to develop measures, or wishing to exchange ideas with other companies.
At www.klima-plattform.de/registrieren , interested parties can register immediately and become part of the network. The functional scope will be gradually expanded.
