Every year, the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IHKs) train over 1,000 trainees as Energy Scouts nationwide. These scouts identify potential savings in energy and resources in their companies and develop concrete improvement measures. Projects first participate in regional IHK competitions, and the best teams are honored at the national finals in Berlin.

- Energy & Climate (SMEs): Tremonia Mobility GmbH (Optimisation of the compressed air system)
- Energy & Climate (large companies): H. & J. Brüggen KG (more efficient control of production ovens)
- Resource Efficiency: Dr. Hahn GmbH & Co. KG (optimisation of packaging processes)
- Biodiversity: Gestamp Umformtechnik GmbH (ecological enhancement of the factory site)
Information about the Energy Scouts
Energy Scouts is a nationwide program of the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IHK), supported by the DIHK as part of the "Climate Protection Business Network." Trainees are qualified as Energy Scouts to identify energy, resource, and CO2 savings potentials in their companies and to implement specific efficiency projects.
