Hand in Hand for International Talents
Enabling skilled workers from third countries to migrate fairly and securely, thereby securing qualified personnel for businesses in this country, is the objective of the Skilled Immigration Act. The project "Hand in Hand for International Talents" (HiH) has been piloting how this can be implemented in cooperation with IHKs and German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs) since 2020. Funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and located at DIHK Service GmbH, the project supports companies nationwide in recruiting skilled workers from abroad, primarily in sectors such as electrical engineering, metalworking, mechatronics, hospitality, and IT.
HiH offers a range of services, from international recruitment to arranging job interviews, preparing for entry, and onboarding within companies. A key element is the monthly "Recruiting Days": a digital speed-dating format allowing interested companies to quickly and conveniently meet suitable candidates.
Network for Companies Integrating Refugees
Information materials, checklists, language guides, practical tips, experience sharing, events, and webinars are offered by the "Network for Companies Integrating Refugees" initiated by DIHK. Businesses of all sizes and industries can find advice, contacts, and materials related to employing or training refugees. This includes multilingual flyers tailored to various industries and brochures outlining legal frameworks.
The network also supports the Welcome Advisors Project, which connects refugees with employment opportunities and assists companies in the integration process.
Entry into Employment for Refugee Women
Most women seeking protection in Germany would like to work; however, they find it considerably more difficult to secure employment compared to men. As a member of the advisory group, the DIHK supports the project "MY TURN – Women with Migration Experience Get Started" by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. MY TURN assists with job entry and can support employers in recruiting staff.
Training Programs by DIHK-Bildungs-gGmbH
A range of practical training initiatives has been developed by IHKs, the DIHK-Bildungs-gGmbH, businesses, and experts to assist companies in integrating new arrivals.

Visit the DIHK-Bildungs-gGmbH Website for more details.
