Energy and Sustainability

Sustainable economy – protecting the climate, securing the future: Cluster 4 of the Economic Policy Positions represents a strong combination of climate protection, economic competitiveness, and sustainable innovation.

For a future-oriented economy, Germany needs reliable framework conditions that combine energy and environmental goals with entrepreneurial practice. At the center of Cluster 4, the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) calls for a pragmatic expansion of the energy transition, reliable supply, as well as investments in renewable energies and circular economy. At the same time, the transition to sustainability should be possible with minimal bureaucratic effort — so that companies are not burdened by regulatory hurdles but can realistically plan, invest, and innovate. This is the only way to credibly combine economic growth with environmental and climate protection.
